If it meant anything at all, he really wasn't there to just have a quick fuck or anything like that. He was just seriously in tune with how she felt. How he felt around her. Like a cat seeking attention and a need to feed off it.
And she did such a good job of it too. The touches, the gaze, the little kiss at the corner of his mouth. No one had been this nice to him, not even the concubines sent to please him in the cells.
He stood there before her, eyes still focused on her face, watching her as she seemed to struggle a bit with him.
And then the touch.
He glanced down as she rested her hand over the zipper, just in the right place where he had bandaged himself tightly. His brows creased, frowning now as he stared down at her hand.
"A bad fight. A week or so ago." He admitted, still staring down, almost ashamed. "It should have healed by now, but it has not. It does not hurt though, so I will not suffer. I... had to get somewhere else. I needed to eat. I needed.... um, needed things." he bit his lip (she might notice he had a bit fangy pair of teeth in there), watching her hand. "You smelled good. I am s-sorry..."
Sombra was hyper-aware of this man, his presence forcing her senses into overdrive. She was pretty sure his heartbeat rested under her fingertips and under all the power she could sense a hunger. Silent at his explanation, she kissed him again - far more gently. There was something ravenous in him, something yearning for nourishment and softness in equal measure.
Despite herself, she found herself looking at his teeth when he bit his lip.
"If you want me to keep cooking, you need to let me go."
He's not used to this kind of person. She wasn't upset with him. She wasn't disgusted with him. She wasn't SCARED of him.
She even kissed him again, which he leaned ever so slightly into, because it was soft, and each time she kissed him he felt something burn through his chest like a fire he had needed.
When she commented on cooking, on letting her go, he frowned, but he let his hands slide off her hips, reluctantly. It had been the growl of his belly that ultimately forced him to let her go. She was still here. It would be fine.
She gave him a little half-smile before stepping slightly away from him.
"Not exactly."
The stove was turned back on, a close eye on the steak coming back up to temperature. Cooking was easy and had steps. And rules. Everything else about this situation was spiraling a little out of control.
"You're not like anyone I've ever met." she began, setting the steak to cook on a low flame. "But you feel powerful. Dangerous."
Sombra felt her cheeks flush and she ran with it, looking over her shoulder at him and wink.
He stood there, off to the side, hand moving to rest at his flank where his aches were the most. Just a slight pressure as he watched her. She didn't know what he was. But knew he was powerful.
Dangerous.
He felt his heart sink a bit at that, at first. Golden eyes looking worried a moment when she looked back and winked. She said it was hot though. He felt confused on that for a moment.
"I haven't hurt anyone. Not here. They keep saying I have, but I've only eaten some not humans. I swear." He felt the need to explain that much, suddenly. "I don't like hurting people. I like people. You're all new to me. None of them... smell as delicious as you though."
It literally explained nothing, but if she had been hearing the same rumors about a 'dragon' eating things and people, she might connect it.
Sombra, you have a very old dragon in your kitchen.
Sombra chuckled at his confusion and bit her tongue at his confession. To her, he had no reason to be nervous. People were frequently assholes and so long as he wasn't razing random countrysides, it wasn't her business.
But then he went on about how he hadn't done anything -- oh God. He was the...dragon from the news.
Sombra stared at him, eyes full of wonder as she tried to memorize everything about him. A real live dragon in her house. That explained ...a lot, actually. And he'd been feeling on her like he needed her to live.
"You're safe with me." She gave him a little thumbs up before turning back to the food.
When she turned to stare at him, he looked a little more unsure, as if waiting to hear her freak out at him. There had been a few of those on the way this far. People who just screamed at him. Dragons we re nearly extinct in general, but he and his brother were the last of his kind. And no one had seen HIM for so long it was hard to count the eras.
So as she stared, he almost fidgeted, and in a moment of nervous tension, his tail, long and green with orange fur and tip... plopped out behind him. A bad habit, but a good sign of emotional problems.
And then she simply gave him a thumbs up and a Safe. He looked more so confused. She just went back to cooking. Back to him and all? Like she trusted him.
He crouched at that moment, balanced on his toes, elbows on knees and watching her. There was a faint purring rumble from his chest after a moment, where he was looking more... pleased.
"You are not scared of me? Or are you just very good at hiding it?"
Sombra visibly shuddered at the rumble behind her, glad that Genji could not see the dopey way she bit her lip. Stifling desire meant doing her best to press her thighs together and hoping to avoid embarrassing herself.
"I guess some people would call you scary." She considered the question as the steak bubbled away.
"But even if I was scared, I don't run away from things that scare me."
He stayed where he was for now, watching. Watching so carefully. The magic in this place felt nice. It felt.. better. He felt so low on energy.
"You aren't running away, but I don't smell fear from you either." He pointed out, in a curious tone.
"It is okay if you are scared. Everyone is, when they know what I am. Monster, they say. They think I killed people when I got here. They blame me for things I didn't do. It is okay if you are scared. I wouldn't blame you, but I have not done anything to harm a human. So... please don't be scared." he said slowly, catching each word in thought before letting it flow.
Sombra laughed at his statement, hard enough to make her shoulders shake a little. He might have been old, but he didn't know the way they did things around here - which meant that he was even less prepared for how she did things.
"I never said I was scared, now did I?" she asked looking over her shoulder at him.
He spoke to placate her, to assuage non-existent terror, and all Sombra did was listen. It was a little heartbreaking to hear someone so clearly special sound so lonely. He felt as free as the wind, but maybe it was all that running he was doing.
Sombra snapped once, mostly to get his attention - curious to see if it would agitate him. Bad idea, antagonizing a dragon, but she'd made a life of bad ideas with very smart execution. Clearly, there was no reason to stop now.
"What? Would that be easier for you?" she began, stirring the pan once more before turning off the pan and moving it off the cooling burner. "If I were scared?"
Facing him again, she tilted her head at him, half-sincere in thoughtfulness.
"You want me to shiver because I can feel how you watch me? Should I be scared because you're hungry and can't figure out if you want to eat me or fuck me?"
She shrugs, smirking a little. Clearly not offended at the idea of either being the truth, she continued.
"I was born and raised in this city, with all of our own breed of magic. Being afraid of you is like being afraid of my neighbors. So what you're a dragon? You still got a heart and brain like the rest of us. And anything that thinks, I can handle."
She looked him over again, the look in her eyes going hungry at the edges. He really was handsome, even if he was a little weird.
"I think if you were gonna kill me you would have. So I'm gonna try and enjoy my evening. You wanna try and enjoy yours?"
Old yes, but so very, very sheltered. Years and years and so very any long decades of being kept in a cell, under a place, served concubines and given things to 'appease' his hunger. Times where they literally tried to put him to sleep for long periods, because he was a 'danger'.
Because he wasn't the eldest.
She never said she was scared, no, but there was still a weird desire, or need for her to not be. Then again, the sound of his being lonely? That was so far accurate he couldn't even explain it. He was so used to being mostly alone that finding a human that wasn't scared o him and didn't want to lock him up or kill him? Well, he didnt want to scare her away.
Also, she smelled so good. Why s care THAT away? But then she snapped at him and spoke firmly about herself and him and he just... golden eyes went large, brows shooting up high.
For a moment he literally felt dressed down and put into his place, and he wasn't sure why. And as she comment about him not knowing if he wanted to eat of fuck her, he did growl. Eyes narrowed at that, a low rumble in his throat, but he said nothing.
The rest made the growl tame though, and he was standing, trying to collect himself again. The tail coiling up behind him again and hiding. Fangy tooth biting at his lip again, he let out another small growl, staring at her.
"I wanted to kill you."
He said instead, his hands curling and uncurling at his sides a moment, nose sniffing again. Meat and Witch smells now. He let out a huff. "But I am not like that anymore. And you would... be wasted in my belly." He admitted, hand pressing to his side again to keep pressure there so he could feel it a bit. Using it to keep himself calm in a weird way.
"The food... almost smells as good as you." There was a very fast moment that he licked his lips, but it was hard to tell if his tongue was normal or... longer than normal. "I... want to... enjoy your evening as well." he admitted.
Poor Genji seemed to need a moment, so she glanced to the cooling pan on the stove. It was supposed to last for the week, but having such a powerful guest, she had no problem letting him have the bulk of it. Especially if it would help him recover from whatever he'd been dealing with. He was soft and sweet but a little too gentle for her.
She'd been ready to feed him and let him be, but then she pulled another growl from him - all proper base and Sombra was sure he could hear her heart speed up. Being an adrenaline junkie was a strange thing sometimes.
A normal person would have never spoken so boldly to a dragon and even most supers and mythics would be leery. The growl should have been chastisement, enough of a warning to draw an apology but Sombra did not seemed phased by much of anything.
She met his pretty gold eyes again and smirked slightly at his admission. The statement brings images of a rough union to her mind, even as he backpedals on the admission and for a moment she wonders how deep his claws would sink if he lost control while he took her.
"Go sit, Genji. We can have dinner, you can relax." Her tone was mild, as she indicated the little sofa in the living room before she flashed him a smile, bright and predatory.
"And then we can talk about how bad you want to sink your teeth into me."

Just play it cool.
